Engine Research Inc.

Engine Research was started in 1981 as a part time job to fill a need for special products and machine shop services not normally available at production rebuild shops.

Mike and Cindy Blok married in 1984 and made an investment in equipment and set up shop in Hank Blok’s garage in Pembroke . In the early years many good up-and -coming racers enjoyed association with Engine Research. People like David Heaslip, Bob McCredie, Kevin Fraser, Steve Arboughnot, Rick Wilson, Norm Illan, Charlie Kenopic and Don Deitz helped to form Engine Research. There was also tremendous help and support from family and friends.

Engine Research Inc. 1991 moved to our current Cobden location which was made possible with the help and support of our loyal customers. I would like to extend a very special thank you to you all.

Our current Cobden location since 1991, was opened in large part with the help and support of our loyal customers. The much larger shop now accommodates machine shop, DTS Dyno/warehouse/ restoration area and an office.

Many years of success in racing and marine performance restoration and off-road performance are due in large part to the association with very talented people in this industry. In-truth they would have been successful with or without our help, but I am very happy that they chose Engine Research Inc.
